Some of us have talked at length on these forums about the contracts given to Halliburton and KBR in Iraq, and the disgusting manner in which they were handled along with the consequences to our troops. The chairman of the committee charged with looking in to such abuses is running for re-election here in Minnesota, and a former state Senator has decided to make public some facts regarding that situation with Cheney's buddies.

Seems ARo folks weren't the only ones seeing something amiss. Comments?

When I was in the Balkans KBR/Halliburton was pretty badass when it came to the service they supplied.

When I was in the middle east I would rather have gone hungry than eat the slop they tried feeding us. The food was generally good, until the local contractors got ahold of it and ruined it on a regular basis. It's pretty bad when MREs taste better.

I remember receiving an e-mail warning us about one of the showers and to stay away as people had been shocked by going too close to it. And there were numerous accidents involving the TCNs (Third country nationals, the guys they hire from india, pakistan, etc) Most of the time they had people thad had no clue what they were doing, doing the work. I had to take care of one of the poor bastards when he decided to die from heat stroke because his vehicle wasn't properly maintained by KBR and didn't have proper cooling.

In short Fuck KBR/Halliburton/Half the contracting companies out there.
