I am still planning on it. Are you? Hint: The world is supposed to end this Saturday. Not what I pictured since the weather is supposed to be the best here that it has been in 6 months. Always thought the world would end on a cold and rainy Monday, not a perfect Saturday.

What time on Saturday? I'm going to be working all day, but would hate to miss it.

According to my schedule we're going to be right in the middle of shooting a chase scene - that just won't do. Have them push it back a little bit.

Can we bump this to the 25th? I have to give finals next week.

I'm vaguely amused that people that dumb comprehend time zones. Does that mean New Zealand is the closest place to Jesus?

No, it just happens to be near the international date line, and the crazies say the rapture will happen at 6 PM local time.

This I worked out to be 2 AM EST tonight, so I'll know by the time I wake up in the morning if the earthquakes are coming and the crazies are right!

I have seen some posts today suggesting that people take an outfit outside and lay it out on the ground to fuck with the crazies. That might be worthwhile.

That being said, with stories like this on the front page we may be overdue for the rapture:

OK srsly WTF?!

The neuroscientists ran a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test on an Apple fanatic and discovered that images of the technology company's gadgets lit up the same parts of the brain as images of a deity do for religious people, the report says.

And....

In speeches, Pope Benedict XVI has said technology consumption poses a threat to religion and the Roman Catholic church. The holy leader told a Palm Sunday crowd last month that technology cannot replace God.

So apple is akin to idolitry? Interesting.

If I was still in China I could have Sunday bunch AND still be on time for the end of the world. Curse you time zones! Oh wait, if the world still ends on the 21st at the International Dateline than it means that the world in the States ends today (Friday). Fuck.

Taleren Bloodsong

Not on the 21st at the international dateline. 6 PM local time in each time zone according to the crazies. 2 AM EST tonight/tomorrow will reveal the folly of the crazies when the earthquakes don't start destroying New Zealand.

Yup. Its the only way Jesus can get peace and quiet from the wife and kids.

Anyway, still here lol. Can't wait for all the commentary from John Stewart, Coulbert and late night hosts etc.

Have to laugh at this guy who prognosticated that the quake that will flatten the world would start in New Zealand, since that fault is 100% relieved right now.

I was really hoping the Rapture did come and beam all those rightwing religious loons off the planet! I was even praying to every deity out there that i could think of to make it happen!
The world would be alot better place without them. Im thinking maybe even God didn't want those folks up there with him!

Sad, gullible and pathetic morons, come Sunday morning a few of them will be jobless and pennyless, after they quit there jobs and sold off all there possessions, all based on the words of a Charlatan. I doubt that preacher will part with any of that 70 million hes got tucked away in the bank, to give back to his followers. Preaching the end of times is quite the profitable business!

Religion is such silly fables and fairy tales, springing up from mans over imaginative mind.

The Christian irony is that in the book of Revelations people such as Harold Camping are depicted as the Whore of Babylon - fake prophets that wrongly predict the end of the world and falsely tell people what to do and how to do it.

I had blueberry pancakes for brunch. They were yummy. Probably far better than the humble pie some folks had the day before.....
