I went through a phase the past couple of years of only watching a narrow genre of movies, mostly due to not having the time to watch everything. Last month I bought a Divx player, and have since downloaded a dangerous amount of movies from the past few years and now have had a few weeks to watch them.
Those movies mentioned in the title I have just gotten through watching. Obviously they're by the same director and group of actors, so I wondered what you thought of the movies/actors as the kind of new, young generation of Stiller/Wilson/Vaughn/Farrel? Although I don't usually enjoy crude comedy, I loved these movies, throught the scripts very hip and damn laugh out loud material, the actors catching and quirky, Michael Cera especially, and generally likeable stuff (second hour of Knocked Up, for example).
Superbad is definately my favourite, but I can see Pineapple Express becoming somewhat of a teen cult movie, while Knocked Up was a bit of harmless, even touching, fun.
Anyone else? I expect a lot more from this crowd in the future.

watch Miri and Zack MAke a Porno to top it all off
I enjoyed the movies in the reverse order you listed them in the title.

I have not gotten around to seeing any of those yet, although "Superbad" is near the top of my list for movies to see.
As for "Knocked Up", the inclusion of Katherine Heigl in the cast guarantees I will be passing on this. While she may have been a fun supporting actress in her younger days (Under Siege 2) she seems to have really turned into a pretentious diva while on the Roswell television series. How she has convinced herself that she is part of the new Hollywood royalty is beyond me, as I have seen no evidence of her having the talent to go with it.
Much the same as Jennifer Aniston.

I like the first two in your title and have yet to see the third. As stated they are laugh out loud funny for a reason I can't put a finger on.
I will likely pass up anything in the future with Stiller/Farrel neither of them make me laugh. Vaughn did a good job in Four Christmas's I think tho he's always playing the same character in my opinion.

I have become somewhat disillusioned with Stiller/Farrel myself - the former not having done anything good since Meet the Parents, the latter nothing worthy since Anchorman. The fact that those movies commercially launched both actors is saying something about the par-average material they've done since.

Stiller in Tropic Thunder and Heartbreak Kid was damn funny man. Other than that I never really like him. Vaugh in wedding crashers along with Farrel was a good deal of gut busting lol...."mom get me some meatloaf!"

I dunno mate, I found Tropic Thunder a big dissapointment. There was a laugh every 15 minutes, short enough to stave off boredom, but too long to make it an overall comedic success; while Heartbreak Kid seemed to have a good plot for the first 45minutes as Stiller slowly realises she's a nut-job, while the remaining 45minutes went a bit Something About Mary in its crude-whackiness, which is fine but the change made the overall movie appear somewhat muddled.
Am I over-analysing!?

Vince Vaughn was great in Mr & Mrs Smith. I mean really, a hit man living with his mother???
Stiller has his moments, but they are growing fewer and farther between; as for Will Farrell, everything is the same character, and not a very funny one after the first two or three times seeing it.
It is seeming more and more like almost all the comedy movies are played with the same characters these days: Aniston is always the same, Wilson is always the same, Farrell ditto, Stiller ditto, .... and what can I say about the man with the rubber face and constant overacting.

Pineapple Express I didn't like as much, but the one you are missing in that genre is my personal favorite Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It was really, really, REALLY good. I was blown away at how good it was. Even the evil ex-girlfriend was three dimensional and you kinda understood why she cheated, and so forth. Great watch!

Another on my list of movies to see.
Have heard good things about this one.

Kelraz is right, I went into the flick thinking "eh why not" and ended up laughing more and enjoying the movie even after the reel was over.
Definately an enjoyable movie, and as Kel said the characters are built well throughout.

Personally, I would've enjoyed that with less penis, but it was funny.
Re: Stiller, he was pretty good in Dodgeball.
I need to add Napolean Dynamite to my list.... I guess it hits too close to home :)

I want to see Pineapple Express I thought Knocked Up was hilarious, Superbad was meh. But one of the funniest ones I've seen in a while Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Good stuff, don't think it's the same director though.
