The whole thing was tasteless. Who the hell dreamt up the idea of teaming Janet with Justin Timberlake? We had 17 people in the room watching the halftime show, 8 of them being children under 10 years old.... and they give us Janet and her dance team of S and M rejects fromt the 80's. The one guy dancing next to her at the beginning was wearing a corset and had a gagball strapped on. And here they are all humping the ground and grinding on each other and Justin Timberlake groping at Janet and Janet flashing her tit.
Next year maybe they'll have Michael singing thriller with a bunch of 9 year olds dancing around in their underwear.

You guys are too uptight, it's just a boob; there's over three billion people with tits just like hers. I really don't see what the big deal is. If it were to happen in any other country; it probably wouldn't even be mentioned.

By far the worst half time show ever. From what I was reading the whole show was produced by MTV and will be there last. Coming from MTV I wouldn't of expected anything less than what was shown though. Bunch of cock crabing, trash talking music wantabees.

Have to with Daddio on this one...
Open letter to the FCC:
It's just a friggan boob with the nipple covered you morons..hell the lousy music was more offensive!!!
Osgiliath666
02-02-2004, 08:57 PM
I agree the boob thing was not that offensive. In bad taste though. What DID offend me was all these rap fags grabbing there crotch. What the fuck is that supposed to be? With my daughter in the room some black mother fucker is yanking his crank on Tv. Why do they do this? Seriously. I sure did not see Kid Rock doing it. Is it a black thing? A Rap thing? Someone answer me that please.
Winterworg
02-02-2004, 09:09 PM
So you're offended by your daughter seeing "black mother fuckers" grabbing their crotches but not by her watching Janet Jackson get her top torn off and all her dancers clothes fuck each other? Interesting. So you don't mind if she grows up to dress and act like a whore and show her tits to everyone, as long as she doesnt think its okay for "black mother fuckers" to grab their crotches?
Esbat
02-02-2004, 09:19 PM
It is just a breast.
Would it have been offensive if it were a mother breastfeeding her child who happened to wind up on camera?
Fact of the matter is, in some states there are no laws the require women to cover their breasts at all; I really don't see why anyone would get upset over a naked breast.

talking about blowing things way out of proportion, winter that is probably the most reading into things i've ever seen someone do
the only good part of that whole half time show was kid rock, everyone else was either over done, or didn't do jack shit (pyro technics do help)
Winterworg
02-02-2004, 09:31 PM
Personally I found the whole show offensive and I didn't even notice the breast. The reason is because I watch my friend's 6 year old girl staring at the screen with huge eyes and have to wonder just what kind of messages shes getting. This is not what you expect in the context of a Superbowl Halftime Show. That's why it was wrong. It takes the choice out of the hands of people about what they will allow their children to watch. They did it because they think it will give them publicity and result in them making more money and they don't care that most of America didn't want their children to see that. They made the decision for everyone that the FCC laws are wrong and our children should see Janet's tit.
Osgiliath666
02-02-2004, 09:32 PM
The whole show was in bad taste and offensive really. The boob shot was but for a split seccond and poof it was gone. But the grabbing went on and on. No im not as offended by a womans breast, no matter how fucked up it looked, then by "rap artists" (there maybe thats easier for you to read) constatnly running arround with his hand on his dick. I guess i just don't understand the whacky youth of today.

Then maybe your friend should step up, be a parent and stop the child from watching TV?
This is not what you expect in the context of a Superbowl Halftime Show. That's why it was wrong.
It is *exactly* what I expect- which is why I watched a show on Great White sharks on National Geographic during halftime.
It takes the choice out of the hands of people about what they will allow their children to watch.
I remember my parents telling me to leave the room or turn my back when stuff came on TV that they didn't want me to see- be it nudity, a murder on the news, whatever. Don't blame TV for doing what it is designed to do- make money. Blame parents who don't do their job.

Yes, having your children watch 30 men slaughter each other on the field trying to destroy each other is far less disturbing than the lifegiving breast of a woman.
I like boobies. If I were king, tops would be VERY optional. !!!CAN I GET SOME!!!
Do i think that it was planned to get attention? YES!
Do I care that boobies were shown on TV? NO!
Would I like to see boobies again on public TV? YES!
I don't think your arguement holds water. Violence is okay, but sex isn't?

Thats a problem with our society today. Too many double standards.
That and too many uptight people forcing their uptight beliefs on our quite liberal young generation.

People make way too big a deal about nudity. It's the damn repressed !@#$ that think they need to keep us from seeing naked people and that we should feel dirty and offended because some woman's breast popped out.
We should be offended that no talent, trailer trash hacks like Kid Rock can get record deals. :\

I don't mind the tits, but for crying out loud people, it's Janet Jackson. If it was that hot coffee shop girl from down the road that's one thing, but ugly old hag? I mean c'mon. I love breasts as much as the next guy but this had me seriously rethinking my stance on homosexuality. Timberlake was more attractive then her.

@winterworg ...
You come here complain about their obsceen behaviour but allow your kid to watch a slaughter, you allow your kids to look at people who may die right there at the spot. You allow them to honor those men who go up the field having all sorts of stuff injected into them to be able to perform. You allow them to watch a sport that causes death to some, cripples others and you tell them that it's cool.
People grabbing their crotch is wrong, placing an elbow up someones face is cool ... hmmmm
Maybe you should bring em to church .. em .. wait a sec .. church isn't that good for kids either I heard.
It's the breats of a women that nurtures life .. bad bad bad.
It's the tackle that can cause soemone death ... good good good

Are you kidding me slaughter? ROFL its called a competive sport..gg. We sure do have a bunch of pussies these days trolling the boards. Football has and will be around a hell of a lot longer than some goof standing on stage grabbing his crotch in front of millions of people..wtf does it stand for? WTF DOES IT STAND FOR?
Hmm lets see if Joe Blow Cock Grabber or someone like say Marino,Namoth,Star or Favre is remembered 10+ years from now..who had a bigger impact on youth. I see more kids out in there back yard on a Sunday afternoon mimicing football stars than some rapper. What a joke.
Could care less about Jackson's breast popping out..just some hag..Brittany on the hand would of been something to chat about.

Hey, wasn't Michael Jackson the original crotch grabber? He had a bigger impact on kids than most catholic priests.
Seriously though, the guy has a point about how stupid our society's double standards are. Why is a breast a big deal? What is the harm?
It's really stupid that we're afraid for kids to see a nipple (not like TV doesn't already show every other square inch of the breasts, when they want to), but it's just dandy if they want to watch shows where the hero of the show kills people left and right. How twisted is that?
ThePerfectFlaw
02-03-2004, 06:34 PM
Because watching people kill eachother doesn't incite violence. If nothing else, it placates it. I sit down and watch the godfather and I don't feel the need to go out and kill someone.
However, if I watch Amber put a 12 inch dildo in her coochie from my CD girls collection, I'm not suddenly less horny.
Borborygmous
02-03-2004, 08:04 PM
Who cares...
Maybe Winterguy is right and this is the desensitized average guy who lets all sorts of immorality plague society. Maybe it's because I expect no less from the "boob tube."
IMO...if a boob flashes on TV for 1 second and your child wants to know what happened it's a perfect opportunity to have a talk with them. There's plenty of stuff to talk about with your child about all these images they see everyday...ask them if they have any questions and try your best to give them an age appropriate response that they can digest. It's not rocket science.

Tell that to the kids that copy their favorite TV shows, like Jackass. Sure, some of us are rational enough to not go buy an UZI and level a bank, just because we watched Heat. That doesn't mean it's any less an influence for others.
However, if I watch Amber put a 12 inch dildo in her coochie from my CD girls collection, I'm not suddenly less horny.
So you're horny? Big deal. Even bible belt preachers get horny. Who cares? Not that watching Amber and her 12 inch dong really compares to a second long nipple flash.
Where's the harm in it?
Gerfs
02-03-2004, 09:56 PM
If there were more nipple flashes on Tv there would be less pregnant teens!
So as your president my first order of business will be to order every TV show to have at least 1 nipple flash per show!

so eh... racism and violence aside... lol, I'm about to sound like a total hippie for a moment. I believe its unfair that men can show their top halves without be scrutinized and made a big deal of, but women can't because umm.... they are female? -_- I say if someone wants to let it out and get saggy thats their deal. (not that i personally want to) Its just the same as justin timberlake having his shirt off, but with a little extra hehe. I can see how it would make people uncomfortable, because obviously thats not how things work here. But I dont think there is anything more wrong or "bad" about a woman's breast than there is about a man's.
I think the dudes grabbing their crotches is a direct implication of something sexual, and maybe the whole situation is awkward for the people that were physically sitting in the stadium cuz they couldnt really do anything (go to the snack bar maybe haha), but for people watching TV at home, they have the wonderful power of saying fuck this is shit (darn this poop if there are children present) and change the channel. :hat

The human body and sexual activity are the two most beautiful things that exist in our world (besides love itself) and I believe that it should be encouraged much more, people should be told much more about it, people should live in a world where showing your body and having sex is absolutely very ok in every possible way.
Putting sexuality and Violence in the same category all the time when it comes to "moral discussion" is one of the worst things done to society.

It is kind of sad that you wouldn't even think that or find it gross or whatever unless it was already put in your head, as "EEEEEEEEEW i see.... SKIN :eek " I think in america we tend to be really hung up over making people feel ashamed of their bodies =p but its how we are brought up.
Gulor Gularin
02-05-2004, 06:35 PM
Yep, I've seen some guys with bigger boobs than she has....
Anyway, I think the sexual content (and the violence) on TV should be curtailed. I personally don't care about nudity but it is an integral part of much of our culture that nudity and sex is not suitable for public display. I am perfectly willing to forego seeing nudity (or violence) on network TV out of respect of the cultural views of others.

You know, I missed the boob baring, because I thought the half time show was boring. I had walked away from it to put a pizza in the oven.
I don't like Janet Jackson's music and every time I saw her, all I could see was her resemblence to MJ. Maybe she bared her boob so the world could see she was female?
I think maybe Hollywood stepped over the line and it is about time these people got called for it. Was it terrible? No. Was it planned? Hellya. Talk about a huge nipple ring!! I suppose she just had to show it off.
Were my kids traumatized? No more than when we saw a gangsta kid shuffling across the street, suddenly losing his hipster pants as they fell down to his ankles. That was funny, and I found her act funny too. In a pathetic way.

Absolutely.
So now Timberlake is still performing at the Grammies. This is a fuggin joke you know he's gonna take his shirt off and have a nipple shield on and "give a shout out to my home girl Janet yo." Why boot her and not him? I don't get it. If I was at CBS neither of them would be attending at all.
Its ironic that this was produced by MTV. If this had happened on their network they'd be doing the same shit CBS is.
