Hey all,

Having recently bought a GeForce FX 5900 Ultra (MSI) and finding inside the package that it came with a TV-Out S-C Connecting Cable which connects nicely to the back of my video card and contains four sockets (Video In, Video Out, Audio In and Audio Out) I am becoming curious as to whether it is at all possible for me to connect my Xbox or PS2 to my Video Card and in conjunction with this (as they are connected) use my Monitor as a TV for my Console.

The thing that I am wondering is how I would go about making my monitor recognise my video card as the signal router for my Xbox, or how my video card would interact with my xbox. Also, when using my Xbox with my TV I need to push an A/V button on the TV to change to Scart mode, which begs the question "Would I need additional software (likely a yes I'm guessing) to get my monitor/xbox/video card combo to function together.

I'm hoping someone can help me and I thank you all in advance.

There are stand-alone game-console to VGA adapters. Beyond that, you'd be stuck using video in on some VIVO video device, and just playing your game through your capture card --- much the same way you'd watch TV on your monitor.
