So if Senator Stevens had more money and influence and could have hid it better it would be ok?

Though for something of a little more substance, he'll likely still win the election as his opponent Mark Begich is a serious douchebag. The guy has been a horrible mayor, and I sincerely hope he doesn't win. I'd rather a steaming pile of dog shit be elected to office before him, it would be more useful.

Thankfully Begich has had anywhere from 2% to 7% lead in the polls since late July, and this obviously won't hurt his campaign any.

It's nice to see a corrupt politician face the music for a change. Far too many get off.

An elected official should set an example of obeying our laws, not finding ways to skirt around them.

That goes for both parties.
