Tom Ridge speaks out...finally

If you remember everytime that John Kerry had a speech or event there would magically be a terror alert. We really need to investigate the past administration. Doing something like that is criminal.

Political chicanery...

nothing new, if we start wasting time and money finding out what will only be pardoned we'll never move forward.

Both parties are crooks at all levels, but yes...get Dubya, it'll make ya feel better.

Political chicanery? What is the republican former governor of Pennsylvania running for? You can excuse that in your government? It is the type of thing that Ridge is referring to that ACTUALLY prevents us from moving forward, not prosecuting the crime is ridiculous on every level.

Chicanary is one way of looking at but you can also see it as abusing power with false propaganda to achieve a political gain. dont we have laws about this passed to specifically prevent an administration from doing this?

My fear is that if we just let this pass by and keep moving forward we lay the ground work for this to happen again. I'm not out for blood revenge against GW or Cheney specifically because we really did get what we as a nation voted for. but more so because if this behavior isnt punished in some way it will be come SOP!

Of course it should be investigated, and if the other party pulls crap you investigate that too.

The 'war on terror' is one of the greatest shams in the modern century. The current republican talking heads are repeating the statement that Obama won't help us win the war on terror. How the hell do you win this war anyway? And if their party, for reelection purposes continued to fabricate said war, the people need to be held accountable.

I doubt it was Bush. I really get the impression that he wasn't in control of what was happening in the White House. Rich boy used to people just taking care of stuff for him.

Id like to see Rove in handcuffs though.

Same way we have won the war on drugs and the war on poverty. massive expenditures financed by the Chinese who are funded by the continued outsourcing of our economic lifeblood. just never forget that it's the Pot smokers who are erroding the foundation of our democracy and you'll sleep better at night!

I hate the "move forward" argument. These people must be prosecuted for these things. Otherwise, it only encourages and emboldens future crimes.

It's probably over (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/aug/06/white-house-war-terrorism-over/).

Well, that's a slightly comforting article. Did anyone notify the Right?

Why would they be talking about it? Its not getting them votes.

Joseph Goebbels said...It's easy to sell a war. Tell them they are getting attacked and go after the pacifists for not being patriotic....sound familiar?

Have to start somewhere, might as well be now. If we spend the next 20 years indicting everyone in the executive and legislature in the last 20, at least they'll be too busy to find new ways to implement mass surveillance and tax credits for investment bankers.

Have they found anyone yet to serve as a "talking head" on any of the talk shows that is actually surprised by this "revelation"?

It simply confirms what everyone was saying during that election cycle, which is what I heard everyone saying on the news shows today. /shrug

This does not suprise me. It irks me but doesn't surprise me. Both parties are out of control :(
