I haven't been guilded with Palimax for a long time, and logs from 3 years ago really hold little interest for me to show the particulars, but since he really wants you to know, I suppose I can tell.

For all the hatred Palimax spews for me, he did not always feel this way, and actually promoted me to class leader status in his guild long ago, I had a officer tag, though in Vision they made some distinction between officers and officers... /shrug.

during this time, and to my recollection, the begining on Palimax's ire toward me, I spearheaded a drive for officer accountability. Loot was handed out, and horded in an ambiguous "guild bank". It was agreed that some one would keep track of things, and items would be distributed more equitably, and tracked. After we began to track items, Palimax was found stealing blue diamonds without notifying anyone from the guildbank. When confronted, his story became that he was "borrowing" them and fully intended to replace them.

The guildbanker did not have a job for about a year. Many of us wondered how he supported himself, but we soon found out. When the guildbanker, though I forget his name, a personal friend of Palimax's in the same city, retired from eq, in his goodbye post, the guildbanker admitted to selling plat on **************.

there are plenty of other stories that I could relate, but to keep things brief. Palimax was caught stealing from the guild once, and appointed his personal friend to manage guild money when he KNEW his friend had no job and supported himself selling guild funds on ebay/**************.

So if Palimax didn't sell guild funds himself, he certainly knew it was occuring, and sanctioned it.

So please palimax, tell us again, how you are such the selfless leader, and are the paragon of virtue ?

Vaxumgax selling platinum on eBay (or PA) and Vaxumgax selling guild platinum on eBay are two different things. Vaxumgax didn't work because, among other things, he cashed out his 401k. Vaxumgax, while banker, kept very detailed notes, published a spreadsheet weekly, and was probably the best banker we ever - ever - had.

I think I might very well have borrowed some blue diamonds once. I'm pretty sure I never stole any.

Thana's acusations are, as should be obvious, completely without any substance. He can't prove them, and his "Vaxumgax is a thief" story is going to pretty much be "proof" to anyone who knows Vaxumgax, or was in the guild while Vaxumgax was the banker.

Anyone who played the game hardcore reached a stage where they had way more plat than they could really use, especially high level trade skillers. You reach a stage in the game where there are NO purchasable items that help your main character, and alts get boring fast. And let's face it, everyone enjoys cold hard cash, so why not get some return on all those hours put into the game? Vax, if I recall correctly, did tradeskilling and a lot of wheeling and dealing in the bazaar on his own. It should not be a surprise that he sold plat, nor do I think it's anyone's right to judge him for that. Not having been in Vision, I can say that Vax always seemed like one of the best guildbankers there was...he seemed so organized and on top of his information, which definitely is supported by Palimax's statements. As for Palimax himself, do you really think he would be so well respected by a majority of this community and such a longstanding major guildleader for so long by being a cheat or a thief?

Little Vision/ Vax FYI ... Vax was one of the first GM Smiths on A Ro .. He was making and selling Helanic armor and such long before he left EQ .. I remember him bragging when he hit the 1 million mark .. I also helped him gather a lot of the ingrediants for the stuff...
I would be curious to know if anyone in Vision ever actually requested money from the guild bank for anything and was denied .. I seriously doubt it.

there were different mules set up for different types of items.Gem mule,Spell mule,Tradeskill mule,item mule etc....most the officers had access to them,we use to get tells all the time back then to get Velious gems off the gem mule.back when Velious Gems were the big thing,for armor upgrades.
anyone could request any of them,there were bags and bags filled with nothin but blue diamonds rotting away.back when we farmed the old plane of hate.there wasnt many uses for them back then,til they were added to a few recipes and Quests after luclin and durning PoP.
