Just watched the debate. We all know the media will have a frenzy with "That one" comment. Making a big deal out of nothing or is it significant.

Also, its starting to border on disrespect that McCain simply wont look at Obama.

I was somewhat amused by McCain continuing to be so poorly informed of what he speaks about, unless he thinks he can just say stuff and nobody will doubt him.

I actually laughed out loud when he said in response to the same man that it was bad that we were saddling the young folks with trillions of dollars of debt, but should also turn around and buy up all of the bad mortgages and renegotiate them with the buyers. And he says Obama is the spender?

They have busted several of his statements already on the recaps; and yes, Obama had a few busted as well.

Local news poll already showing a 73% Obama win to a 25% McCain win, with 2% undecided. (I voted Obama won, fyi) Over 1000 votes when I did mine already.

{With 2,228 votes, 74% Obama, 24% McCain and 1% undecided}

Where was "Will you return to the constitutional limitations of the executive branch" question. Most of that was repeats of common interviews, only one or two even touched on it, that being the unilateral attack on Pakistan, but both of them addressed prior rhetoric rather than the meat of it.

I honestly think the "That one" comment shows more about McCain then anything else he said tonight. It was probably the only moment where he was 100% truthful with how he felt .

He has such disdain for Obama that he cannot even bring himself to say his name, look at him, or even shake his hands as he didn't do at the end.

at the end McCain did extend his hand, and obama turn around and instead of seeing McCain saw his milf wife, and greeted her. I dont slight MCCain on taht one, but all the others i agree.

You can beat McCain on issues. The comment, I'm sure, was benign.

It did look like he blew him off:

Maybe it's disdain. Maybe it's intimidation.

Around Obama, McCain acts like a beta in the presence of an alpha.

Here's what it looks like to me:

Moment 1:
McCain: I'd like to say something to Obama. I'll get his attention by tapping him on the shoulder.
Obama: Huh? Someone tapped me on the shoulder.

Moment 2:
McCain: Blah blah blah.
Obama: Oh! McCain wanted to shake my hand. I'll extend my hand. Wait, why isn't he doing the same?

Moment 3:
Obama: Oops, my mistake! This woman over here must have been the one trying to get my attention. I'll pretend I was going to shake her hand all along.
McCain: Oh! Obama wanted to shake my hand. Well, too late now. I'll pretend this woman was the one trying to get Obama's attention.

What bothered me more then the "That one" comment was when McCain said to the young black male that he probably didn't know who Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were before the current crisis.

I'd like to think that the people that were selected to attend this town hall meeting tended to be more informed than the average person on the street. It seemed like a very condescending statement when McCain made it, and the look on the young man's face was priceless.

I could tell at that very moment, John lost the vote of that particular undecided voter.

Or as he turned his back on the black girl who asked him a question about the environment.

LOL..or this one...attack Obama for an overhead projector earmark for a planetarium.

I thought the debate was boring. Other than a few snide remarks by McCain, already rehashed here, I didn't hear either candidate say anything that hasn't been discussed before.

I've also heard that Obama could capitalize on the "That One" statement, much like Regean turned the age question around on Mondale....
