So in my waiting for Vanguard, I have decided to take another stab at EQ. I haven't played since late 2002, so I'm way behind on everything. My character is in almost full Kael armor, and I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that is a bad thing now.
Basically what I'm looking for is a brief description on the changes that have been made in the game over the past couple of years. You don't have to type too much information; I am aware the game has evolved quite a bit. I know most of the big stuff such as: the server mergers, 70 level cap, how much I suck, the expansions, etc. So whatever info anyone wants to dish out to help me adjust would be helpful or atleast interesting to know.

Correct. I'm not planning a full on return to doing the high level content, seeing as how it would take awhile to get level 70, but I'm want to try to do whatever I can 10 levels below the cap and level a few alts.
