I know it's all fun and exciting for the Yanks on this forum, but I think they're getting out of fucking hand.
12 out of the last 15 threads were to do with Kerry and Bush in the context of the upcoming election.
It's nice to discuss it once and a while from an outsiders point of view, but it's really getting tiresome.
Could we not keep all these election points to one thread?
Imagine if I posted 12 fucking threads inside 2 weeks about Labour and the Conservatives, jesus christ.

I vote we derail this thread into a Bush vs Kerry one.
I second the motion!
Who said that?!
Vote passed!
The system works!

Well for starters no one gives a fuck about it and two lets start a thread bitching about too many threads about the election. This is a predominately Amercian user board. Go figure we would chat about the upcoming election..wow what a concept.

Chatting is fine you pleb, but there's a fucking limit where every fucking thing talked about is Bush and Kerry.
Aren't YOU fucking bored of it?
Yeah, you said it. No one GIVES A SHIT.

I'll come out from my lurking to say something here.
Halo I wouldn't care if you posted stuff about British Politics. Personally I'm interested in all foriegn policies and politics. Because in the end what happens in England effects America too.
And even if I wasn't interested, I just wouldn't click on the thread =p

Likewise, I'm interested in what happens in Colonial Land.
But after the 12th time?
Surely that's, like, spam?

I would agree with you if there were 12 seperate threads discussing Giuliani's speech, to me that would be spam.
But as long as each thread is individual in nature (even if broader topic is the American Election). Then personally I don't consider it spam.

For the most part, the threads cover different aspects of the campaign for the Presidency. Better to have these issues partitioned into their own threads than fused together into a single morass of thread-text. What you're asking is similar to asking that all your "History Debate" threads be put under one title ("But after the 8th time? Surely that's, like, spam?").

What with those happening usually 2 weeks at a time, I don't think "that's, like, considered spam".
If I shot them out 12 at a time inside a week, then yeah. You'd probably had just owned me, like Talid so enthusiastically pointed out.

Shutup Halo.
Unfortunately for you, most of the demographic of this board is American, so this matters to us. And this is a MAJOR event over here. Maybe you don't quite understand it because you're not bombarded with the commercials, the signs and the newspaper reports like we are, but for about 4months, the election is big fucking news in the United States.
If you'd like, maybe you could search out a European Issues forum somewhere and post about how bad America is there?
or maybe, just maybe, you could not click the link. Don't add your 2 cents to every post - maybe, just maybe...that'd help your problem?

Plenty of people say "I don't like this or that" on TV or radio. The answer to them is always the same. If you don't like it....don't watch it. Same goes for threads here. You *could* just listen to Talid.....but you won't. It's kind of funny to watch too.
I look forward to the upcoming "Your an idiot and obviously don't understand what I am saying" post! Flame away!

'I look forward to the upcoming "Your an idiot and obviously don't understand what I am saying" post! Flame away!'
- Urgh.
' Unfortunately for you, most of the demographic of this board is American,'
- Actually, that's not true. You're a majority, sure, but by far is most of the forum from the US.
'Maybe you don't quite understand it because you're not bombarded with the commercials, the signs and the newspaper reports like we are'
- Aye, true. Our elections are a bit more based on party policy than how stupid the Opposition party leader looks, or how boring he sounds.
'or maybe, just maybe, you could not click the link. Don't add your 2 cents to every post - maybe, just maybe...that'd help your problem?'
- Maybe, maybe, if every fucking thread WASN'T based on this, then maybe, maybe, I could click on something else.
'Shutup Halo.'
- Words hurt like a fist.

Halo, most of the threads you're referring to have played out over weeks and months. While the process of electing the next President of this extremely powerful and influential country may not interest you, its importance extends well beyond the US's borders.
Besides, most of those threads are no longer active. Just ignore 'em if you don't like them, and continue posting history threads (which may have no current application, but are still interesting).

So start a different thread then/topic/conversation
......fact is this is a hot topic and as was said before many of us here are Americians or are interested in it. It's no different than say.......all the chatter and posts about the war in Iraq. And frankly, I imagine it will only get more intense as the weeks roll on and we get closer to November. But then, it will most likely die down like other such hot topics.
Heck I usually head to this forum first and see what the libs and conservatives are spouting next. It really rather makes my day go by so much faster. I'm sure were something monumental going on where you live you'd be yacking about it too, so no sense whinning about it......it's going to happen. So sit back and enjoy the BS :)
