I will be there at the groundbreaking for this memorial. I am honored to take my dad a disabled vet from the Vietnam era. Btw as most of you may remember I am very active with the Disabled American Veteran's Auxiliary, and this past August I was elected National Chaplain. I am the first male that has been elected to the national auxiliary line of officer's and I am very humbled they voted me in. I want to thank all of our vet's and active duty that frequent here. A WWII Vet I met at the airport today said"It is and honor to serve our country" and I replied "it is a honor and a privilege to serve those who have served" it truly is.

The ceremony was a nice one. I get a tear to my eye every time Bobby (http://www.dav.org/news/documents/RobertoBarreraBio.pdf) gets up to speak. I am proud to say that he is a friend and a hero of mine. Gary Sinese does alot for the DAV and his comments were geniune and heart felt. I am going to create a DAV facebook page for myself and upload the video's i took there for any that are interested. I want to thank all the Vet's that visit this board and I am looking forward to attending the ceremonies at Arlington and the Vietnam Wall tomorrow.

Awesome. Post a link to your facebook page when you get it set up. I'd like to check it out.

Today I had a free lunch at Chili's at saw many vets there. I sat at the bar b/c it was literally packed and we couldn't wait for a table. Turns out this was fantastic b/c I sat next to a WWII Navy Veteran. He was in great health and so sweet and cute. We swapped stories about our time in service. I've never taken advantage of this offer before but am really glad I went this time.

Heartfelt thank you to all vets past and present.
