Same opinion here. About as good as one of those "the real story of King Arthur" movies.

There are like 10 movies about the ninth legion in the last few years, makes you wonder what bigwig fell in love with a Scottish hooker. Centurion was a B release but fairly effective for what it tried to be, incredibly bleak film.

Goes like this:
Rome made a bunch of money in DVD release.
Someone came up with a 9th legion script and got it greenlighted
3 people read the script, copied the idea to make their own original script and then sold it , based on the first one getting greenlighted but delayed for whatever reason.
