Just watched the final entry in this trilogy, and I have to say it was one hell of a story; from beginning of the first film to the ending of the third there was a consistency and continuity that is seldom seen in Hollywood's output. I am still not ready to dive into the books, although I do have them, but am much more open to allotting some time for them now.
Knowing how Hollywood has "Americanized" past foreign films (the original 'La Femme Nikita' with Anne Parrilaud (sp) being redone with Bridget Fonda for example) I am leery about how this series will be treated. I strongly urge folks to get the original Swedish movies (which do have English dubbing) and see them in their intended setting and atmosphere.
I know I will be watching them again in the future in a marathon back to back to back session!
