The Saddest News I've heard in a long time (http://www.johnnycash.com/news.htm)
I would just like to say that Johnny cash was, is, and always be the man, above all others.

Thought about making a string myself... I was really bummed when I heard the news. He was much more than a musician. :(

Indeed, a hell of a man is gone. I still have my vinyl copy of 'Live from Folsom Prison' and it still amazes me how someone could cram such a incredible spectrum of emotion into that simple and spare delivery. I bought 'The Man Comes Around' last year after not having heard his work for years and while it was quite a mix of things, I was awestruck by that too. What an incredible artist and incredible human being both. Rest well, Johnny Cash, we'll miss you...

With the death of John Ritter, many baby boomers will reflect and re-examine their mortality.
With the death of Johnny Cash, we've lost a cultural icon.
