- So an age after the death and destruction, we're finally going in. Can we really do anything? Or is this gonna be another Somali fiasco?

I guess it depends how effective the AU force can be. It is a chance for Africa to show they can help themselves without a colonial power doing the heavy lifting. Let's hope they can do it.

Well, the AU has been deployed many times before this, and is quite effective. I don't think the question here should be for the show of African strength/unity, but more whether or not it's bloody worth it now a hundred thousand died quite a long time ago and the damage - per se - is done.But then - we were far too busy in Iraq where the real danger was, and besides - it's Africa.
