Finally, someone else is discussing what had been a frequent discussion at the dinner table a while back; the parallels between television's "West Wing" and the current political campaign are just too intriguing to ignore.

Geena Davis offered us a TV show about the first female president, and that show tanked; more likely due to poor writing and acting then the theme it was based on, which we have seen has brought a lot of energy to the race.
The West Wing offered a story line of the first non-white candidate up against an older experienced Republican from a western state. Now, I wonder if Obama would offer McCain a job as Secretary of State? Further, I wonder if McCain would still have the character to accept it; he has shown a real child-like manner of responding to disappointments.
Anyway, it was nice seeing this coincidental story line was noticed by others.
