So...since it's getting close (about 30 games left), I figured anyone may as well hop on the ATL bandwagon right now. Line forms to your left.

NL Divisional:

San Francisco -vs- Houston/St. Louis/Chicago : San Francisco (but I'm cheering for the Cubs)
Atlanta -vs- Philadelphia/Arizona/Houston/St. Louis/Chicago : Atlanta (but I'm cheering for the D`backs)

I'll take San Francisco over Atlanta this year :(

Yankees all teh way!
The Avs built up the scoring power with Koria and Selanne but they are gonna hurt without Roy.
Hoping my Rangers can stop underachieving and Win the cup this year.If Richter is healthy(if he even plays) The Rangers will make the playoffs this year.

With the looming threat of a players strike after this season I thikn this is the avs way of making sure they go far in the playoffs. Picking up Koria AND selanee(sp) will just be un real in scoring. Your right though the goal tending is the ONLY question. With abaschear(sp fucking hockey names) in net I thin they are going to just out score teams to win(duh). if that made sense.

Baseball and most other Yank sports are abysmal! Plus you ripped them off existing sports ;)

Baseball = Rounders

Ice Hockey = Well that ones pretty damn obvious.

(Football) as americans like to frequently like to call that game where there is 10 seconds of action for every 25 mins of play.Btw the sport of 'Football' is widely recognised by most of the worlds nations as the sport with 11 on a side, round ball,45 mins each way, etc, etc.Ohh yeah 'American football' as i`ll name it for purposes of identification. Is basically Rugby with a few of the rules messed up.

If there are anymore Yank sports that i`ve forgotten please enlighten me :P

[Note] If anything i`ve written offended anyone who read it.Then quite simply, tough shit. :)
[2nd note] Ohh also, let it be known that it`s Yank sports i don`t like, not the country in general. (waits for invading forces under computer table)

The addition of Kariya and Sellane to the avs lineup will no doubt add some serious punch to their offense, but, they have a HUGE hole in their goalie. Goalies usually make or break a team in the playoffs. Hockey is a true team sport. The avs may have the better players but they might not have the best team. Teams made up of superstars (avs, red wings) made quick exits from the playoffs last year.

As to who will win the cup, its really tough to say, I expect the injury bug to play a significant role in the later half of the season and the playoffs. I predict that the grinding teams with hot goalies will pummel into submission the teams of aging superstars like detroit and colorado. It will be a long season.

As to baseball (/shrug) i honestly dont follow the game until the post season. They play so many games that the post season is pretty much decided halfway through the season. Its really kinda boring. I actually followed golf more than baseball.

RED SOX!!!

sorry had to get my 2 coppers in.

with the sweep of Seattle, i think Sox have gotten out of their yearly post all-star slump and will do very very well

St. Louis cannot be a wildcard. St. Louis (go Cards, baby), Chicago, or Houston must win the N.L. Central to make the playoffs.

Yes they can win the wildcard...

They are currently in a heated battle for it...2 games back sitting in 4th place if thats how you want to view it....

Please don't speak of things you have no clue about....

Please don't speak of things you have no clue about....

Look at the remaining schedule for the teams in contention. The Cards/Cubs are going to beat each other up. Pick from Philly/Florida/Arizona and maybe L.A. (pitching) for the wild card.

To all those red sox fans, i say:

LET'S GO YANKEES, (clap clap, clap clap clap)

Braves will fold in the playoffs (how unusual), and my outcome......Yanks over Giants 4-2 in WS.

Otherwise, if the Astros make it (yea right) 4-1 or even 4-0

Less than 30 games to go, and HOW MANY teams in the hunt for the wildcard? (...and the Central...)

Phoenix is going to have a LONG weekend with the Giants in town, but...

I'll take Bautista over Reuter in game one. I even believe the struggling Randy Johnson can take game two (if the Unit shows up - not the faux-Unit who's been pitching in his place since his injury), and the GAME OF THE WEEK is Brandon Webb -vs- Jason Schmitd on ESPN on Sunday. I'm not sure if it'll be Shilling or Desens on Monday - 5 man rotation says Desens, but with Thursday off, Shilling might be up.

Dbacks should have a great weekend considering its a bonds free weekend or so it would seem...

The giants winning percentage is horrible without him in the lineup...

Mabey they can continue to move up in the WC race
