- Out goes Howard, in goes Rudd.

Thoughts? And on the regime changes in general. We've seen changes in France, Britain, Germany, Japan, Spain and Italy. With one coming up in America soon - how different do you think global politics will be? Perhaps a definate pull-out of Iraq, ready or not? More commitment to green issues and afghanistan?

I think there will be a larger move toward protecting the planet; and, I also would not be surprised to see a reversal in trade practices, with a focus being made on home-produced goods rather than imported, which in turn will call for job creation and improved productivity (read lower wages/benefits). A part of the move to home produced goods can be tied to lowering the pollution, as we all know that a large portion of our planet's pollutants come from those countries who are exporting the most goods.

I am also awaiting a move toward harsher treatment of the thugs and punks who roam the streets of any country, preying off others. Job creation and the accompanying upturn in economies offers them a way to contribute to their societies, and those who choose not to I think may find themselves removed from them for longer terms.

I will return to this topic with more pipe dreams later.
