There is no way in hell I could cough out $15k for an engagement ring. Jesus Christ Bananas!

I couldn't cough up 15k for a ring either, but I could find it in my heart to keep it. ;)
The 37-year-old man decided to keep the ring after a jeweler appraised its value at $15,000, police said.

Guy is probably going to commit suicide. It's said that people always give away valuable posessions before attempting it. This sounds like a classic case of heartache mixed with holiday seasons....bleh. Hope not.

If he took it back to teh jeweler, they would only give him about 25 bucks. Diamonds have no resale value.( been there.done that.)

As pointed out in some of the DeBeers threads, Diamonds are Forever... ...Forever Evil.
My ex-wife's wedding ring (a family hand-me-down) is in a plastic box next to my wedding ring (my father's old wedding ring [he's still married, but only has 9 fingers]) in the linnen cabinet over the toilet.

A girl I went to high school with wouldn't marry her husband until he bought her a $10k engagement ring.
She's a stupid witch though so its fitting. I tried to tell him to kick her to the curb but he didn't listen. So now they'll just have 10k more in bills to pay off!

Wow. a 15k ring on your car seat? Sign me up. Poor guy who left it must have been really shattered to do something like that.

I leave my car doors unlocked...but I'll probably just get my car stolen. That's my luck. But then again, who want's my old piece of crap cars? Maybe someone will take them and fix them, then bring them back...that would be cool.

"But then again, who want's my old piece of crap cars?"
My buddy Josh used to leave his car unlocked using that mentality. Then after a long weekend of it sitting down the street from our apartment he went out to the car to see that a homeless man moved into his back seat.
