Yes, the entire Alaska congressional delegation is under investigation for various matters, though Murkowski is selling back a parcel of land that got her in potential hot water.

This was on the news the other night, along with film footage of Steven's home. Pretty nice digs. Reminded me of a ski lodge.

One of the allegations is that VECO raised Stevens' home and built a new level underneath it. I don't know if the home shown on news footage was the subject of construction, but it was a nice looking place. The Senate has decided to let Stevens keep his committee seats, at least for the time being (I don't think he's been indicted for anything, so this seems right to me).

So this morning as I was choking down what KBR passes off as food I was watching CNN. Apparently Sen. Stevens offered them a key, but they refused instead and went for the televised raid. Hmmm no political motivation there....

I'm not sure what that means. I suspect the search would have been televised anyway, key or not -- the FBI just doesn't regularly raid congressman's homes, much less a senior senator of Stevens' standing. It's a big deal. Also, I'm not sure who you're suggesting has political motivation here who could also coordinate the raid.

Lastly, I don't know where CNN got this tidbit from (I haven't heard anything about it yet), but Stevens has been less than forthcoming on all this and careful of his choice of words (e.g., "I've paid every bill I've received.).

I think those left wing hippie FBI Agents are out to get poor Uncle Ted and charge him with being a conservative!

He is 83 years old..he will only see shame if that is possible.....no jail time, no real hit in the pocket book I bet. For all we know he might have found out he has cancer and has less than 6 months to live...things in court can be prolonged for quite awhile before anything is done.
