Wrestling is a soap opera for men. All the he said/she said of a full on sell-your-housewife-some-soap daytime drama packaged in stunt shows that appeal to violence loving guys. To say that wrestling has no point because it's fake is to say that General Hospital has no point, because it's not a real hospital. The person who is scripted to hold the titles is the person calculated to draw the most people out to the arenas and pay per views.
