It says Berzerker. Im guessing its going to be a very heavy melee dmg class. Tanking capabilities might be close to a warrior.

first melee/melee hybrid in the game using the new special attack/melee mana system.

Look for a warrior/monk hybrid, chain armor, no 2 handed weapons or piercing, moderately high h2h and focused on dps instead of defense.

if it beats rogues in DPS i am quitting.

Suspect it'll tank better than a ranger, worse than a knight. I think it'll use 2H weapons, perhaps use them primarily. Special ability increases damage to that of a monk or beyond but sacrifices defense to do so. It'd be interesting if the effect went so far that the character acted as if charmed, using very powerful attacks but unable to stop doing so until the target is dead.

was similiar to their line of warriors except did more melee dmg and couldn't wear plate??

im expecting the daoc melee system to be implemented into eq...i hope its not that cuz that was pretty weak

Bah. Silly class. If they want a class that isn't junk, they need to add a class with style and abilities that aren't just tanking and DPS.

I mean, BSTs unique buffs, AA buffs, and its hybrid DPS/Slower features are what makes it a class that stands out.

Unless they give the Bezerker class really wierd endurance moves. . .

Berzerkers in daoc are in rogue line class, and there is only one pure warrior in plate (albion's one, others are in scale or mail iirc).

Someone mentioned above how much this is going to suck, or its retarded. I remember same thing about Beastlords being said, same thing about the "retarded dungeon expansion" (LDoN) I think there is a history of some shitty changes but also one of some cool stuff to come out..

Someone will have a 65 beserker in 2 days. Just like that 65 frog with epic, 2 days. It won't be be but some on will do it.

It will have a pet, or what can be called a "warder" it will have an epic specifically located in the next expansion and old world, oh, and it will draw heavily from the monk and shaman class..

I could see the berzerker being a low AC (leather or cloth) based class, that focuses mainly on ATK in the form of buffs, New Melee Combat Skills with damage output along the lines of wizards and HP that caters to their "berzerkness"?
