We'll take my 65/181 monk as an example. I've been playing him for 4+ years, spent time getting him Sleepers/Seb/VP/VT keyed and soon to be Time keyed. He's also got the gear to show for all that hard work.

Hard work=time=$$

add to it the 4+ years of playing and we'll do a little math:

4x12=48 months playing EQ
48x$12.95/month=$621.60

So selling my toon for $500 would actually still leave me in the red just for what i spent on subscriptions, not even calculating in the cost of my time for the 150+ played days i have on the toon.

Think about your statements a bit more before you knock someone down for buying YOUR toon you fucking moron.

Anyway, as long as there is a demand for something, there is going to be some dirt merchant selling it reguardless of legality or morality. People say porn is bad, but a good percentage of the Internet is subscription porn sites. If Sony really gave a shit, they could have shut it down long ago but they might see it now as being a case of subscriptions that would otherwise be cancelled enduring on and every weapon or platinum piece sold as being more fuel for the addiction.
