I look at this:
Total Bets: 1258
Total staked: 424841
Total won: 81198
How many out there are down to zilch and still want to bet? Should we consider an across the board +200 vcash or so?
Thoughts?

For Christmas or the New Year, give everyone a bump.

Agreed, a Christmas bump would be a nice thing.

I think refreshes would be good after certain sports seasons ended. Like a small refresh after college bowl games end, a small refresh after the superbowl, a small refresh after nba/nhl playoffs end, etc.

You should implement a taxation system whereby the richest 10% or so subsidize welfare for everyone else. Just to watch people bitch.

That would be some of the best entertainment on this board yet. Good idea :p

This also works well. But, keep the dates few and far betwee, and keep the bumps a regular rate. 1K after the NFL regular season ends, before the Super Bowl -- since we'll have 10 things to bet on for that.

Yeah, better idea. Giving some vcash before NFL playoffs is probably the best idea. I'd say set bumps similar to this:
Christmas - minor vcash addition
Before NFL playoffs - large vcash addition
Spring - minor vcash addition for March madness, NHL/NBA playoffs, MLB opening day...sometime in there
Fall - large vcash addition for beginning of college football/NFL season starting
That spreads it out enough so that people who take a chance and blow their load on one game aren't screwed for anything more than that sport's season. Once the next sport's season starts up, they get a new start.

Since my massive crash this weekend (I went, like 1-for-7 or 2-for-8) I might been needing cash too soon, but, well, I'd still prefer that we save the giving of vCash for special occasions.

I think the problem is that because there aren't that many participating heavily in the game, if we don't refresh some cash every so often, the number of particpants will dwindle.

yes, please do. I suck and bet it all on 1 game and lost. :(
I think we should bet on which team T.O goes to also. :P

So, anyway, how about bumping everyone by <some number> for New Years, in time for the Superbowl.

After seeing the replies, I think a bump for Christmas, small one before the NFL playoffs and college bowls hit, and a small one at the football season end(also as each sport finishes up depending on how the stats look) is how I'm going to suggest we go :)
I think all screen names that start with the letter "B" should get and extra 5000 points....
(make that happen "B"learchie ole buddy.... signed your friend "B"ise)
