I'm thinking I would lose a lot of money trying to play Omaha. I've been looking at that hand for a few minutes thinking you had Jacks full of Kings. I'm assuming you have to make your hand using 2 that are dealt and 3 from the flop? I'd probably have to lose a few hundred dollars before I remembered that. Thank god for Holdem for the slow folks like me.

Omaha always plays 2 from your hand, and three from the board. [eg. Four diamonds on the board and one in your hand is NOT a flush.]

Nothing like walking into 4 of a kind.



I dont have the log since I am at work, but here is what happened.



I play rather often, and had a great week. I worked my way up to just under a $1000 from a modest buy in.



Well, I decided to play the $1000NL Holdem. Very first hand dealt to me, K K. Great, I am still on a roll I feel. I am right behind the button and raise it to $100 pre-flop. I have 1 caller (who is on the button). Flop comes...

Wow, I feel great; I hit my set and have the top full house. I am first to act, I bet $50 in hopes that he will raise it. Works like a charm, the guy raises me $100 more. I take my time and call the bet. Turn comes...

I quickly check this time, hoping that I will induce the bet. Wow, it worked again, the guy bets $150. I take my time and call the bet. River comes....

Ok, now I don’t want to check this, but I do want to induce a raise. I bet a $100 at it. With no pause, the guy is all in, I call instantly.
