I feel sorry and pained for everyone involved. Definitely one of the most violent forms of teenage "love" I've ever heard of.

I am reminded of the movies "Badlands" and "Natural Born Killers", and of many stories of similar tragedies. Most often these seem to occur in small, close communities.

These were apparently kids, like in most other events, who had no history of serious troubles prior to this one act of extreme violence. There is no way to explain or attempt to diagnose these terrible happenings. They have happened before, and for some inexplicable reason they seem to be happening now more frequently. We can look at the increasing exposure to violence in everyday life, or the sense of despair overtaking the country with the home foreclosures and downward spiraling economy, or the lack of employment opportunities, or the ever-increasing cost of college education, or the war and all the emotional baggage that comes with it, or religion, or the lack of social integration due to home schooling, or the toxic chemicals in the dyes used in the manufacture of socks in 3rd world countries.....we are not going to find an explanation for why other-wise good kids suddenly go bad.

Shit happens. And yes, that does suck.:(

There is always folks who gets suckered into a psychopaths world. Sad it was her and the other students. Their families and themselves will have to live with what they did for the rest of their lives.

Too bad they could not have just ran away together to Mexico and eloped and left the family and the other students alone.
I never can understand why they do not see more options. *sigh*

It's not the cause de jour of gangsta rap or violent video games that are to blame any more than the 80's assertion that it was heavy metal that lead to satan worship wich was why our babies were bieng kidnaped and sacrificed was.

The kids are mind blowing even to think they could get away with it.
To sit down the street in a car after planning the event and having sex with the guy who killed your family afterward is definely a reason the death penalty exists. The fact she or the people recruited show no remorse makes me happy the death penalty exists in Texas.
