Go see this. It was hilarious.
One of the best of the summer, and between Tom Cruise and Robert Downey Jr its some of the best characters I've seen in a comedy since McLovin.

I couldn't get over the helicopter crashing in the previews.
Sorry, but as a rotorhead, seeing a helicopter fall out of the sky is in no way funny.....

The movie was one big dissapointment. I must admit, the only reason I watched it all the way through was because every 15-20minutes there was a laugh, which begged me to believe that if I only watched for another 15-20mins another laugh would be upon me. Alas, there was one, but that made for about 6 laughs the whole movie.
Terribly dissapointing from an ensamble that I love, Ben Stiller especially. I'm beginning to think his Meet the Parents days are behind him. And Downey Jnr...well, he was so hot after Ironman. A bit of a bad move from him, I believe.
The plot was silly (not in a funny way), Jack Black was utterly underwhelming, and the cameo's couldn't keep it from drowning, especially Tom Cruise.
And I was so looking forward to it since July :(

Soooo not a Ben Stiller fan, anything he's been in the last few years has been Golden Razzie worthy it's not even funny.

If you can't laugh at The Heartbreak Kid, something inside of you isn't working right.

Only seen clips of it so can't really say. I generally don't find his humor funny in any way shape or form.

Maybe it was the industry jokes you just didn't get Halo, I literally had tears in my eyes at some parts. Its interesting that Jedd, who lives near enough to Hollywood he has to live with these people also found it funny and it didn't work with the rest of you.

Well, if you make a movie that's only funny for people who work in the industry - you're making somewhat of a mistake.

Well, it was funny to 7 out of 10 viewers and 71% of the critics, I really doubt that many people work in the industry - but maybe they do :)

I work in an industry. Maybe that's why I thought it was funny?

You're on to something there ...
This thread has gotten very off topic. When I was in the theaters watching this and the advertisement for "Booty Sweat" came on, I looked at my girlfriend and was like "Can you believe this crap?"
It took me a while to realize it wasn't a real commercial.
