Good News: Castle has been ordered for a full season.
Its basically Murder She Wrote with Nathan Fillon (Serenity/Dr Horribles) as a novelist tagging along with a hot detective for book inspiration. Great show.
Bad News: After the 13th episode airs, it will end and not be renewed past the November break, No new show has been announced yet to replace it.

I love Castle, it's a great show.
I mentioned elsewhere that I just watched the third installment of "The Librarian", which revolves around the Judas Chalice (and is a huge improvement over the 2nd effort). I mention this because Stana Katic, the sexy detective in Castle, plays a nightclub singer/vampire in the latest offering, and it is one of the main roles.
As for the write-up on Dollhouse leaving, they do a cute job of being ambiguous.

Of course Dollhouse is going to fail, they put it on Friday and expect un-Friday-like (yes I just made that word up!) ratings out of it. Just like Fox expected the same out of The Sarah Conner Chronicles.
You can't put an edgy, 18-34 demographic, show on a Friday night. A large portion of your viewing audience isn't even home. Sure there's always a DVR, but that doesn't help the overnight ratings.
