A terribly small minority of people understand how the central banking system that fuels the US and European economies actually works. Once you do, it's hard not to be outraged about it.

I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country.

A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men.

We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world.

No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.

- President Woodrow Wilson (1916)

If you have a few minutes to spend, this series is a great introduction to how it works and how we got where we are:

Good now the 4th is working.

And I hate my job for blocking youtube access (I guess it's youtube embed videos?). :(

Yeah. If you want to look for it elsewhere, search for "Money as Debt".

That applies to the EU as well. You guys use a very similar central banking system, AFAIK.

Thanks Sanchek!

I guess this is Paul Grignon's video (http://www.livableregion.ca/blog/blogs/index.php/2008/01/12/money_as_debt) you are talking about?

I'll watch that at lunch break, 47 minutes is a bit too much for work time. :p

(weirdly I can't access google video directly, but embed google videos work fine...)

Yeah, that's the right one.

edit: Changed the embedded video to the Google Video version. It's higher quality and all in one video. Good find, Anterak.

Wow...

What an eyeopener. It's like knowing something was fishy, you knew there were "wrongs" in the monetary process, but never truely understanding it.

With the "Société Générale" scandal here, where one trader (and the closed eyes of his superiors) managed to "lose" 5 billions euros, people are starting to wonder about the "how to make money out of money" business, but this video completely remove the veil.

I guess it's all very basic, as he stated himself, but it's also quite simple to understand, and how easy it is working, in the end. Self feeding beast.

Thanks a ton San!

well the latest i heard is that he stated that the bank management 'had to have known' and not stopped him, because the sums were so hudge, and at the same time sarkozy was trying to keep it hush-hush, saying that the french economy was super trustworthy and so on.
