Question:
Does anyone know the details of this package and who is eligible for the $600.00 that they keep talking about (read: Up to $600)?
I haven't read a lot about it, but my basic understanding was so long as your income was between $3,000.00 and $70,000.00 you would get up to $600.00 if you're single, up to $1,200.00 if married.
The key words here are "up to". Running a few numbers through the IRS's site: http://www.irs.gov/app/espc/ I can't come up with anything that will give a $600.00 check. Everything I have tried yields a $300.00 check. For all the $600.00 talk they have been doing, I don't understand who exactly is going to get that money...
Anyone able to clarify this for me?

I thought it was $300 single, $600 married, and up to $1200 with children counted.....hmmmm. Guess I did not really pay much attention to that, being divorced (read single) with the kids over 21.

1200 married and $300 per child. Married with 2 kids...$1800. You should be getting $600 Fandros. I hope I do, I mean I already spent it........(American way)

Mine has already purchased an Nvidia 8800GT with 1gig onboard ram for my second pute. Can see a nice upgrade from my other pute's 8500, in colors being more vivid and sharper lines....using WoW as a measuring tool.

600 for an adult making less than 75,000. 1200 for a couple making less than 150,000 total. 300 additional per child.

That was my assumption... the little calculator on the IRS's website I linked above says otherwise though.

My accountant said I should expect $600 in July, they give them out according to your social security number and younger people are getting them later apparently.
That'll help offset my $1600 tax bill this year :(

1500 rebate for my wife and I and we owe 1500 in taxes. It's a wash!
