Texas has edged by USC for the top spot in the computer polls, but still ranks 1 in the human polls.

This drop is undeserved. Texas was given the boost based on strength of schedule - however, if you look at their schedules, they have each played a grand total of 2 top-25 teams. Strength of schedule being a factor with a team from the Pac-10 or Big 12 is a joke. USC rearloaded their schedule with their tougher divisional opponents, whereas Texas closes out with Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M. USC also possesses the most potent offensive team in recent memory, with two options at tailback that will see a 1st round draft contract. Not to mention a Heisman winning quarterback, and his receiving options.

Should both teams run the table, the computers will give the nod to USC. USC closes out with 3 opponents that are currently ranked.

As long as you don't drop below 2, the title game wont change. USC would have to really stumble hard for Va Tech to overtake em, even at number 2 IMO.

Auburn last year had 2 running backs drafted in the top 5 of the first round and their QB was drafted in the first round as well. I'm not willing to compare Jason Campbell to Matt Leinart, but I do believe that both Auburn backs and LenDel White will be better running backs in the NFL than Reggie Bush.

Cadillac has allready proven he can run down in Tampa. The only question will be durability over a 16 game season IMO. :)
