Hey folks, I know some of us have 'our programmes', and while I don't watch a lot of TV per se, I do have regular shows which I follow through all season. Sooo, list yours!
1) 30 Rock - Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey have amazing chemistry, and the lesser cast are hillarious. Season 5 kicked in last week, lost none of its comedy value...yet!
2) Bones - Dry humour, witty, very edgy, and again great chemistry between the leads, with a very character driven cast and genuinely good crime plots to lead each episode. Season 5 was a bit dull, but Season 6 so far looks to be a bit more action-packed.
3) Modern Family - only found out about this and watched Season 1 a month or so ago, now I'm hooked and see why it won big time at the awards this year. Season 2 looks to be more of the same brilliant comedy and episode plots. Phil and Cam rock!
4) Downton Abbey - British drama from the makers of Gosford Park, set in an Edwardian, pre-war aristocratic house, focusing on both the servants and the family dealing with the inheritance of the estate to a strange line of the family. This is as sharp and as faithful to historical truth as Gosford Park was, with Maggie Smith again making it worth watching, all peppered with a wicked streak of dark and dry British humour.
5) The Inbetweeners - I know a lot of you like a bit of British comedy, so this might be worth checking out. It's about 4 boys in school and is a big step away from any dry or intelligent comedy; it's just laugh out loud crude and bloody hillarious. 'Up to your nuts in guts!' See it if you liked The Young Ones, Red Dwarf, etc.
