I lost my keys and have no clue where they are. Sadly, this is serious :( Has anyone lost their keys for a long period of time? If so where did you find them or what did you end up doing? I would really prefer not to change the locks. I am certain the keys have to be somewhere in my house because I know I got home with them and I didnt leave anywhere with them after I arrived.

My keys have been missing for over a week. During this time I have looked all over for them. I have spent at least 8 to 10 hours looking :eek: Unfortunately, they are no where to be seen. I know they will eventually turn up in some retarded place.

Last Friday I came home around 12:30. I got out of my car and unlocked the door using the keys then proceded inside. As soon as I went inside I went to the fridge and ate some watermelon. I then went to the bathroom real quick. After that I went downstairs and watched tv for like 30 minutes. Then I went back upstairs and went to bed. The next morning I woke up around ~10:00am. Got dressed and was going to leave for Ross at like 10:30. That is when I realized I had no clue where my keys were. I looked for about a half hour then just left with a back up set.

I've looked between the couth cushions, in the fridge, behind the tv, in my car, outside near the froot door, in my bedroom, in the dirty laundry and about 1,000 other places which I don't feel like mentioning. Essentially I have searched everywhere.

Any advice would be appreciated! Any criticism will be ignored. ty :D

You probably threw them in the garbage.

I put lock boxes all over the place for spare keys. You can get them at any hardware store. They have magnets on them and you can put the keys inside the box. I have locked my keys in my car to many times, and locked myself out of my house one to many times. Haven't had a problem in 15+ years.

Went through the garbage half assed on Saturday (day after I lost them). On Sunday I put on gloves and went through it extensively. Nothing :(

Any chance they went through the washer and dryer and are now in the pocket of some _clean_ clothes?

Were you sober or drunk when you got home? The answer to that question will help me narrow down suggestions for where to look. Either obvious places, or dumbass places you might have thought were smart places to leave your keys when you drunk.

Thanks. I was v. drunk when I lost them... and just found them while getting ready leave (with 4 BEARZ in me). They were in my shirt drawer.
