EQ is in no way shape or form a RPG. It's more of an online hack N'slash adventure game. What is so role play about sittin gin one spot killing the same mob over and over?

Well, we can discuss EQ gaming dynamics all you want, but EQ, by definition, is a MMORPG.

Some of my best experiences in-game have been grouping with RPers--Shalomaire from VC for example (long since gone... :( *snif* )

Semantics about style of camping a kill compared to the role-playing value of EQ would be a great discussion, but wouldn't change the very basis of EQ. A fork is still a fork, no matter what you use it for. EQ is still a MMORPG, no matter how you play your character in it.

I remember being at a GM event waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day, and one of the guides helping in the vent went LD. So the GM went something, "Ack! Innoruuk has struck our compatriot with the vile disease known amongst the gods as lynkedeath! Let us wait here while I try to revive his connection to our world!"

=) That came from a complete case of vapor lock while trying to think up a toons name while Unfinished Tales was sitting on my desk. But! I never pretended my toon was from an eara of that nature. BTW that toons last name is Numenore. Heh Blantant plagerism of a name. Which re-enforces my point (to me) that EQ is not a true RPG. what kinda of TRUE RPG do you see people named Apoo Quickymart? I saw that one when I was a guide back on CT pre-Kunark days.

I tried Rickhunter from Robotech it was taken or just straight out rejected.

I took my fork, flattened it out, tied it to a long straight thin stick, put a notch in the other end of the stick, added some feathers for drag and shot it out of my bow. I think I can call it an arrowhead now. :p
