Mine doesn't fit neatly into any of the above categories, as community colleges no longer get the majority of their income from the state (the fraction has been steadily cut), but from tuition and local taxes. It's not 'government', per se', but not really private sector either...

I'm kind of also in that iffy gray area.
I work for a non-profit healthcare organization that does receive funding/grants from the state and federal gov't and also medicare payments for services rendered. But we do not do contracts or get our "revenue" from contracts from the federal or state gov't. Actually our revenue is from ambulatory services, outpatient/inpatient pharmacies, and from services we offer to smaller health care businesses in the region. We spend close to 20 mil a year in uncompensated medical and outreach services, supplies and physician care.
So, I'm not sure where I fit in this poll.

Postal Service. But the only time the government seems to pay us any mind is when they are trying to raid our retirement funds.

I also work for a company that doesn't fit into any of the above categories. We provide IT services for a company that does quite a bit of government contract work.

I'm funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, a government council, who receives roughly 2.5m in grant funding every year.

What do you do Taleren? Looking at the list, your firm has a ton of attorneys for being a regional firm. Are they the largest in the area? Just curious.
Also next time you see Tamara tell her I said sup qt ;)

I am the IT Manager (the only IT person on staff though).
We aren't that large, we have 47 attorneys and about 85 people total. There are several larger firms in Columbus. And Tamara Watts is out of the office until September 2.
