I wasn't so sure at first, then started to follow more closely and became more interested, now after seeing the E3 footage, I can't wait to get my hands on this.

I'll play it, but it really isn't a MMO from what I can tell. It looks like a single player game w/ a chat room.

Yeah... I kinda got that feel too. It doesn't really feel very open world, ala EQ or WoW. It will me Massively Multiplayer in that you will be able to connect with your friends and do missions and such. Hopefully they'll have the brains to make raid content. And there will be PVP, but it sounded like it's not going to be as your character.. you'll spawn as a trooper of some sort for the Empire (or whatever the dark side will be called) or the Republic, and fight against the opposing faction. At least that's what I got from it. It all seems very instanced.

That said, I am going to play it. I don't know how long I will stick to it, since I have yet to finish one of the KoToR games, heh. It may make a difference being able to play with friends, though.

This is the future of our MMOs. They weren't really profitable and were a niche market until World of Warcraft. Now the model of soloable gameplay online (thus limited piracy) is taking over, plus MTS sales to make people feel superior over others.

I'm into this. Let me know what server you guys end up going to.

Aye, it was a shame seeing all the old crew scatter to the four winds when it came to WoW. Would be great to group with some familiar people again.
