He did catch flak for it, and I think even apologized. His statement came in the middle of so many other stupid statements (Barbara Bush's visit to a refugee center, Bush's speeches, Nagin, LA's govenor, everything Chertoff and Brown said) that it sorta got dwarfed by the greater idiocy. Don't assume that because the article is two months old that nothing came of it.

To his credit, it was live and several days into it. Most people would eventually end up saying something stupid, when forced to watch that and talk about it for days without a script.

It wasnt even that bad of a statement.. He was just stating the obvious.

Also it wasn't exactly a false statement was it? The majority of the impoverished in NO were African American, were they not?

Blitzer is no more the ass than you are talking about hillbillies in your arrogant and narrowminded view of the world. Sure its the truth, but you're both bigoted asses.

I believe Wolf Blitzer made an honest mistake, but in a litigious society such as ours, we are too quick to look for people to blame.
