tola comes single even with trak up - i pulled him in this fashion as a shaman. no clearing of traks room even necessary.just slow, wait for him to come, and run away.
he even gated once, with no adds.

Weird, we keep getting Trak in with him, which is bad.

pull from the right hand wall, other side of the water from the bridge.

Did that. Even suicided rogues and monks to pull Trakanon to the far side of his cave, he still seemed to get chain aggro.

Are you exploiting (AGAIN!!!) Grum?

Trak was definitely up when we pulled tola, i had a mage there as contingency if trak did aggro, but he wasnt needed. I just jumped up along the wall to the right, slowed tola through his jugg guards and backed back out of range of his spells - still on the right hand wall. he came a little way then jumped into the water, at which point i ran back to camp and we killed his pet while he casted on us. When he gated (no summon) he came back over the bridge, and still no trak aggro (and trak was up, confirmed with mage eye beforehand). So ya, i have no idea what you're doing wrong, or what i did right - maybe your pullers are getting too close to trak and just gettnig in his aggro range? 240ish range from tola on the right hand wall may be out of aggro - shrug. Maybe have a mage pull with a bolt from wayyyy back on the wall, or a ranger with an arrow, just to be safe. Either way, mage for contingency is a good plan (just make sure he's 100 range away =p.

Trak is line of sight agro, once agro he will remain that way for 15 minutes. Next time you try the Grumblin Tola poop trick, keep out of sight of the big mean dragon.

What was the occasion for the return of all these "Fabled" monsters? Are they here to stay awhile?

Its EQ's 6th Aniversary. Im not positive but I think they are here for a month or so. I kinda wish they would stay around a while though. I really like going and raiding some of the zones I loved growing up in Norrath.

Yeh its nice to re-visit the zones that were once so populated there were waiting lists fo groups to get camp spots, but are now so dead you can walk in any day of the week and take your pick... :( Tis a bit sad i guess, but at least they give us some sort of fun for a month. Now if they could just get off their asses and get some decent GM events once a month or so... now THAT would rock.

Panthaa...I think you go to stormhammer for those events. :)
It was weird going to Seb the other night. I had not been there in a long time.

We had to race some Ayojpn people to the fabled myconid king yesterday :)

Nothing like a good race to get the blood pumping!

We lost the race :( They had some lame SK tank, too. With the mob hitting for 1800 he was at 18% most of the time, which made the anger worse, ESPECIALLY when the king stopped to spam cast greater healing for 20% >=(.

Yay for spawn races, jump camping, and equipping alts with items they can't use yet! I love the idea of fableds, amplified by that they go away after a couple weeks, so you just HAVE to get them!

We didnt take Trak down, no way are we geared or coordinated enough for that. We got Tolapumj, which is not as exciting from an uber perspective but a nice treat for a mid tier guild =)
