Since the last maintenance, I have attempted to log in on four separate occasions when I had a bit of free time only to be stopped at the authentication step. I have let it sit at the authentication window until I get the unable to connect window. I have attempted to connect to the manage account page, with no better luck, so I cannot even cancel the account.

I have tried to access via the community site, and have had no luck here either. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem and have any suggestions.


And, no, I have downloaded no UI's or add-ons. I play strictly with defaults, when I play at all.

yea been a real pain in the arse last couple of days. though i have been able to get past the log in a few times, the 2 servers i play on have been among those having the worst problems.

Well, I finally did the full uninstall/reinstall, and got into the game. Still not sure what the culprit was, but I will most likely be cancelling the account so it is not important.

It's a shame they were unable to learn from the errors the EQ folks made.

Well, to keep it simple, how about the lack of adequate server-space to accomodate the people buying the game. If you were among the first subscribers, those servers were over-populated almost immediately, and your option was to wait in line to play or to start over on another server; later they offered transfer of characters, but still servers are over-populated and it is impossible to even log in on many nights.

Customer service seems to be handled much the same as EQ as well, if I am to go by the way my son and his girl-friend were handled when their accounts were hacked and all their items stolen.

There are still log in queues? I'm guessing that depends on your server. Stormrage, my server, used to have log in queues in the 500s at peak time.

I want to say that when patch 1.9 came out, our queues dropped dramatically. Now I only see a queue if I try to log in at 9PM server time or so. And even then, it's only 40-50 people long. Yes, it would be great if there were no queues at all, but the *are* improving things.

Not much consolation to folks on other servers that still have horrendus login queues I realize though.

A lot of the downtime recently is connected to the PTR going live. People were slamming the login servers to get premade character transferred to test. Mostly level 20 pvptards who wanted to run around dueling in epics they'd never see, I think. I think they put a heavy throttle on that process now, and it cleared up the stability issues.

One PTR for 2-3 million people is like that, I guess.
