When it comes to the NFL's uniform police, no one is above the law. The Boston Globe reported New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5228/) has been fined for not having his chin strap properly buckled. Reiss reports that Brady's agent, Don Yee, confirmed the fine but would not say how much Brady was fined or which game the violation occurred in.

This isn't the first such fine for the Patriots this season; defensive lineman Ty Warren (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6349/) was fined $7,500 for not having his chin strap buckled in a Sept. 23 game against the Bills. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said teams were notified before the season and reminded multiple times that the league would be cracking down on unbuckled chin straps as an effort to prevent concussions.

It is pretty stupid, but at the same time... It is for a good reason

Yeah thats a health issue, not a stuffy image issue like they have with people wearing the wrong color socks.

Now you can point out to your kid that even there hero straps up for games. Even if you cant always point out good tackling skill sets.

yeah i guess....i see the safety issue but in the end does $7500 even matter to most these guys. Brady makes that a completion these days.

Brady is like Dark Vader in real life. The guy is just Tom Cruise looks and Jedi mind tricks rolled into one. The guy with his recieving core is just unreal.

It doesn't matter much to someone that earns that much, but I doubt he likes it. It's more about just reminding them to keep their helmet on, as well as a little CYA for the NFL.
