They've been talking to him for a week or so. Personally, I wish my team would take a flyer on him. Lots of injury possibility, but he'd be a great #2 or #5 hitter with a huge upside, especially in left field.

1 year, 6 mill. Not a bad move for them for first base if he can stay healthy.

its a good move on his part, if he stays healthy, he proves himself the all-star he was in Boston, and next season can command a 4-5 year deal....
