Take a look at this bum.

It had proved a theorem about the nature of multidimensional space that has stumped people for 100 years.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bavarian_Illuminati

Most commonly The Illuminati refers specifically to the Bavarian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bavaria) Illuminati, an Enlightenment (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_Enlightenment) secret society (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_society). However, it often refers to an alleged shadowy conspiratorial (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theory) organization that controls world affairs behind the scenes, usually a modern incarnation or continuation of the Bavarian Illuminati. Illuminati is sometimes used synonymously with New World Order (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_World_Order_%28conspiracy%29).

Nope, I meant exactly what I posted, even though I was just attempting to make a joke. Congratulations on attempting to correct me Osshole.

Taleren seems to know quite alot about the Illuminati.
Perhaps he's 1 of the Society?
Do you know the secret handshake, and the code words?

So who here is so stupid as to think my illuminati comment wasn't a joke? Based upon his post and feedback, I know Osshole thought I was being serious. Now, seeing your lack of common sense or common decency, I can ascertain exactly how one can have damn near 1300 posts here and have a 120 feedback. Of course my rep hit back was in colorful language I know you have the capability to understand, since it's the trash you put in mine. Jackass.

edit to add: I'm sorry to post crap like this but it really pisses me off for someone to insult me in a rep hit after posting something that was obviously a joke in reference to the prior poster.

Fargn hell Talespinner, I thought you were in the Illuminati and was really hoping you could sponsor me!!

If I told you whether I could sponsor you or not, I'd have to kill you.

on a more serious note, do we have any free masons on this board? My grandfather died shortly mentioning to me about joining (he was a fairly high degree in the masons and I have all his old jewelry). I know I have to have a sponsor for the masons, how do I go about doing that now that both my family members that were masons are dead (my great grandfather on the other side of the family was a free mason/shriner)?

Thormir

Another member of the lodge might sponsor you.

Taleron it is easy to become a Free Mason, go to the lodge and ask any member, the bumper sticker reads to be one ask one. where do you live I can see if my father in law knows anyone in the area.

To be a free mason, does that mean you will come to my house and pour me a free foundation?

j/k!

...I see. Well, of course, this is just the sort of blinkered philistine pig-ignorance I've come to expect from you non-creative garbage. You sit there on your loathsome spotty behinds squeezing blackheads, not caring a tinker's cuss for the struggling artist. You excrement, you whining hypocritical toadies with your colour TV sets and your Tony Jacklin golf clubs and your bleeding masonic secret handshakes. You wouldn't let me join, would you, you blackballing bastards. Well I wouldn't become a Freemason now if you went down on your lousy stinking knees and begged me.

Taleren Bloodsong

Well I have Calloway woods and irons, a Cleveland wedge, and an Odyssey 2 ball putter, I don't know what you are talking about.

Kelraz Bladesinger
08-23-2006, 10:39 PM
But if any of you could put in a word for me I'd love to be a mason. Masonry opens doors. I'd be very quiet, I was a bit on edge just now but if I were a mason I'd sit at the back and not get in anyone's way.

I know this is probably a good subject for a completely different thread, but I always thought the Masons were a boarderline white supremesist group. At least that's what my old man led me to believe.

Enlightenment, anyone?

Elemak the Enchanter

Dunno bout white supremacy... the local lodge I know of has a bunch of member of 'various ethnic origins'

And Kelraz, would you like a paper bag to breath into?

Sixee
08-24-2006, 07:59 AM
Actually I've seen almost more African American Masons than white.
The Freemasons are a quasi-religious group, claiming the beginning of the organization started with the building of the temple by Solomon.
According to the history, Solomon "Discovered" various methods that allowed him to build the temple in less time, with less effort than should have been allowed.
My grandfather was a Freemason, but I never joined. He achieved the rank of Senior Grandmason, if I remember correctly.
The group seems to be more of a charitable organization now days, borderlining on a "men's club". I've never heard that there were any racist teachings, but the Freemasons have gotten a bad rap over the centuries; Accused of everything from being Satinists to a branch of the Illuminati.
And I think Kelraz ws doing a quote from Monty Python's Flying Circus there....

I tried to rep you Kelraz, but couldn't. :(
And while I never met any black masons, I never encountered racism in the masons I knew. I seem to remember hearing that the organization didn't officially allow blacks, but that there were black lodges...something along those lines. Never looked into it more specifically, and a quick skim of Wikipedia says nothing on the topic.

When I was working at Winn Army Hospital, Ft. Stewart Ga. There were a few NCOs attached to the MEDDAC unit who were masons and they were black. One guy had a picture of some ceremony and he wore a ring. And that was the first and only time I've ever seen a "real" mason. I haven't met any since that I know of, perhaps I don't know what to look for if someone doesn't announce it.

You can sometimes see Masonic bumperstickers or symbols on cars for Masons, Shriners, Eastern Star, etc., but outside of Shriner Children's Hospitals they don't advertise themselves all that much it seems.

Each petitioner must be recommended by two members of a Masonic Lodge and pass a unanimous ballot. He must be 21 years old, of good moral character, and believe in the existence of a Supreme Being.
