Grey, you have tons of phones around. Can you try this sometime?

If that is real I'll go out on a limb and say it's a good argument on the side of cell phones cause brain cancer.

It's likely a hoax, along the same lines as this:

I hate that shit. Any time I'm doing a recording if the guy with the microphone has a blackberry in his pocket or a Motorola it ruins the signal.

It has got nothing to do with blackberry or motorola. It IDEN or GSM phones, they do it. Granted via nextel all of them are motorola's but still, its a flaw with GSM/IDEN

Cell phone transmitters have neither the power nor the capability to transmit on that frequency. Typical microwaves have a step-up transformers that runs them at several KV volts and they typical need a few KW of prompt power. Cell phone batteries can't do that. Cell phones antennae also aren't directional.
I can conceivably see a cell phone tower re-rigged to do that.

While I'm postive that electronic field being right next to your head isn't a good thing there's no way it has the power to cook popcorn heh.

So it's just bluetooth that makes my speakers and telephone go nuts? I might have to try that.

I don't think its just bluetooth, because I was getting the issues back before bluetooth was mainstream.
And I try to tell them to turn em off, but some people are ASSHOLES and don't listen :)

I'm pretty sure that the videos are a hoax, but their implication may not be so crazy after all:
