Well, the original response was positive so im asking for everyones input in regards to adding another rule:

"No anon posters, all posters must either be identified by an ingame name or former ingame name (if retired). This does not apply to EZBoard staff nor VI/SOE etc."

Or something along those lines, how do you feel?

What's the point? If I wanted to troll I'll just create a lvl 1 twink, level up to 5 and then claim that's me. Or I'll claim to be someone who retired 3 years ago you've never heard of.

As much as I hate anon trolls, I have to think youre getting in way over your head on this one. Just the back and forth trying to get people to add that to their posting account is going to be a huge headache - I mean you cant just ban people on their first post, youre going to have to say something to them, especially if they are just innocent contributors and not starting shit... Then its going to go back and forth.. I can just see you being so frustrated trying to enforce this. But hey, if you think you can make it work go for it.

I don't post often, but I follow a lot of the discussions. Besides keeping things a bit more lively around here, most folks don't seem to put stock in the validity of some anonymous poster's opinions. If someone wants their thoughts to count, they'll say who they are.

Dunno how you'd police it. I guess if you figure out a logical way it could work...

I think it's just fine as is, with the "unspoken rule" about not posting unless you are willing to list your in game name at some point.

It is just a lot of work for the administrators that really isn't needed.

I think you are getting yourself in over your head if you go through with this. Although it at first sounds like a great idea, it would just be very difficult to keep track of.

To be honest, it is sorta fun to take care of the trolls. Gives us something to flame about!

Newj: Or not... Anon trolls create more troubble than they are worth. Its all about management contra value of exchange of opinion. Anon flame trolls just come to stirr the pot, they dont add anything.

Trust me, im far from a power trip at the moment.

Seems to me Baltyn does a good job of rooting them out. Actually it's quite fun to watch him do his detective work. =)

Well your completely right about KILL Guild going nowhere but down. Sad thing that happened inside this guild was the Leaders girlfriend was a raging bitch and continuously tried to make her own rules on raids and flamed everyone all the time on the boards and in game, especially if you were a female. This chick has some major emotional problems and used the guild as her tool to try to fix herself and her emotional baggage. She was the root of all-evil to this guild. etc,etc

Has anyone ever done anything so stupid and tried to get out of it.? Well this was my stupid. I did post that comment and yes I was an officer in KILL and yes it wasn’t easy dealing with the same repetitive issues. I was wrong for blasting off at the mouth, I was wrong for venting it here on this board. It was not right and I am bad, I feel like shit, for trying to lye my stupid ass out of it too. I deserve what ever comes my way for lying about not posting what I did. Its not like me to be dishonest and I was. I got caught and as any human in their nature I tried to weasel my way out of it . I’m an ass.
Yes I did send the administrator an email asking to remove my post, but he didn’t. etc, etc.
