Default Skyrim

Besides the random crashing, this game is pretty fantastic. Anyone else get it yet?

Mine has yet to crash (might want to make sure you have the latest drivers for your vid card). Then again, I haven't played very far due to lack of time and my friends all wanting to play MW3 right when I sit down to get some Skyrim in.

Good season for gaming.

Mine didn't crash until I got deeper into the game. Like after 12hrs. These are known issues and there's tons of things to do to help it out. Mostly playing in Window mode seems to be the biggest fix and changing audio bit rate.

these crash to desktop things are happening to all 8 of us playing. I had the latest nvdia drivers but I also updated to the beta ones out that have some skyrim stuff optimizations. I expect there will be a patch soon enough.

I actually got this for the PS3 (after playing all the elder scrolls on the PC). I haven't had a single crash, though the graphics aren't quite as good as the PC. My only real complaint is that aiming with a joystick is significantly more difficult and slower than with a mouse. That's a given though. Other than that, I've had a bunch of fun with it so far. My wife is pissed that I chose to play it instead of watching House last night though.

I will probably have to watch House tonight to stave off the angry wife, and then I will most likely play way past when I should have gone to bed just to continue making some progress through the game. Wife already made a comment on it taking me 3 months to finish all I want to finish with the game without a tinge of sarcasm. She knows what to expect from an Elder Scrolls game after having to deal with me playing Oblivion and Morrowind since we got together 13 years ago. She'd much rather me play this than an online game anyhow.

Picked it up for Xbox the other day, it does own. I played it for 10 hours straight yesterday. Not sure what I am doing yet but I am making progress.

I'm a cheapie, and waiting for a better price still.

By the way, if you're shopping Steam's sale, always check Amazon for the same games. The budget prices there are often far below even Steam's sales (but sadly not on Skyrim).

Kanyli, there are few games I have bought this year without waiting a bit. However, Skyrim is easily less than a few cents per hour of enjoyment you will get out of the thing. Creation Engine is going to get patched in shortly, too!
