Checking the local library first, as I always do. Might be a bust there tho', since they still don't have that book I think Sanchek had suggested, "Daemon". Also, 1/2price.com and Amazon used books/cd's/DVD's are a good way to save money, unless it is something you know ahead of time you plan to keep in your library for a long time. |

After being told to stay off my feet for the rest of the week by my friendly doctor, I stopped by the local library on the way home and grabbed the only ones on the shelf, "Definitely Dead" and "Altogether Dead". I realize they are way out of sequence in terms of the narrative, but I read the last Potter book first as well, and still enjoyed the entire series later.
Will share my review after reading. |

A lot of people take their books into the bathroom with them... maybe not a huge deal for some, just saying, sometimes it's best just to avoid the used book and buy your own

I am still waiting for the sequel to Daemon! If you're that interested in reading it Byl I'll mail you my copy. I'm just about to make my trip to the used book store and trade all my stuff in. I've gone thru like 10 books since May as I got on a crazy reading kick =\

I do appreciate the offer, but with at least a dozen books on the table waiting for me, getting to Daemon is not that big of an issue. I will most likely just wait for the sequel to be done and have them both available at once. You can get better use at your local trade shop.
As for the Sookie Stackhouse books, I was not really that impressed, and will stick to the HBO series as each season comes out on DVD. Thank you for offering, hon. |

"A Touch Of Dead", by Charlaine Harris. I just picked this up the other day, as I wanted something to read but only in short bursts. This is a group of short stories about the world of Sookie Stackhouse. Have not jumped in yet, but thought I would mention it for folks looking for possible Christmas gifts, or their own reading pleasure.

Okay, this is a great little collection of filler stories; they are written to be what is going on in between the happenings in the books. Anyone who has watched the HBO show should enjoy them, whether they have read the books or not; and, those who have read the books will likely enjoy the short bits of "diversion". Fairies, witches, and oh yeah, vampires.....fun reading. |
