Default Survey for fun: Music

I'm interested in what you guys listen to. But to keep it easy:

1. you can only list 5 musical groups
2. you can list 5 songs that are not in those groups
3. you can not amend your list, only add posts.

Mine's a missmatch... theres some bands that I love, then theres some that I just love certain songs of.

No particular order:

Greenday
White Stripes - You don't know what love is you just do as your told*
Silverchair - Tomorrow
Muse
Smashing Pumpkins

Hmm... thats 5... but I'll continue ; p

Foo Fighters
Weezer
Jack Johnson - If I Had Eyes*
Linkin Park
Metallica

*This is a "Love it right now song... but probably won't after its played out"

Currently listening to:

Lil' Wayne - Dedication 2

This guy is at the top of the rap game right now. He has definitely grown on me over the last year or so. The link leads to a free (and legal!) download of his newest stuff. If you have any interest in rap you should give him a chance. You either love him or hate him.

Muse - Assortment

A lot of people didn't like Black Holes and Revelations. I thought it was decent, but their older stuff is definitely more up my alley. I usually cannot just listen to a full CD, however. Some songs they just completely miss the boat on.

311 - All

Started listening to these guys in elementary school. Lots of people don't like them. I definitely prefer the singing to the 'rap' parts, but still totally dig the sound. It's light and fun to dance to.

Cake
- Fashion Nuggett/Comfort Eagle
I haven't actually listened to them as much as I used to as of late, but they still are one of my favorite acts. Their new stuff isn't very good, but these two albums rock!

After these my list would fall off into a myriad of different artists that I definitely like, but can't really justify placing one above the other. I like a lot of oldies, a lot of rap, and a lot of stuff that's just a product of being raised during the 90s.

My roomate went to a Muse concert earlier this year (I should have gone but I thought I was going to be out of town so I didn't buy a ticket). He said they rocked hard live. I'm keeping an eye out for when they come around again.

No kidding. The last album was just weird and mostly not good.

Is it clean or more hard core? I'm not into rap but my kid loves it.... If it is relatively non-expletive I will check it out for him
