Default Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I loved it, my inner teenage boy squealed with glee. I think it's the best one yet. The robots felt like the main characters for the first time yet. However, I'm not sure I can look at McDreamy the same ever again *sad panda*

This movie got god awful reviews. Part 2 was unbelievably terrible...I'm afraid to see this one, but I will!

Ow ow ow ow ow ow. This is transformer's answer to suckerpunch. Who the hell gave shockwave a snake fetish? It's as out of place as the spiderthingie in wild wild west. Somehow they made all those explosions and fighting boring. I'll admit that takes talent. It was like playing a game with way too many platform jump puzzles. I shouldn't be left waiting for the fight scene to be over.

Shia remains the only thing worth watching, but even his problems just don't ring true.

My inner teenage boy fell asleep.

Ok, Michael Bay doesn't give a rats ass about continuity or canon, so lets leave that at the door. As a stand alone Transformers Universe (where you can change the history of said universe), this movie was probably the best out of the three of them.

I just wish JJ Abrams would get together with the folks who made the game Transformers: War for Cybertron and reboot the shit out of this franchise. If you don't know what I'm talking about, play this game on the PS3 and watch the cut scenes. WAY more mind blowing than Michael Bay's movies.

I never was much of a transformers fan. I'm still waiting for the next installment of the He-Man franchise.
I'll wait for it to hit HBO

The snake fetish wasn't a cannon complaint. It was an over use of a trope complaint (snakes=creepy, snakes=tentacle monsters, and we all know what tentacle monsters do to girls/buildings/army units they trap. edit--apparently we all don't: they fill every orifice they find and then squeeze to death whatever they have in their clutches) to the point where it became a wtf issue.

It can't be the best, it's like they took something cool (fighting exploding giant robots) and over used it to the point of making you sick (like fudge is cool, 1 lb of fudge is "please take that shit away")

All the stupid story elements of the previous two movies don't compare to turning the one thing they got going for them ALSO boring.

I loved it... you guys who didn't are crazy.

It blew away the first and second movie in every possible way. From Humor, to action, to story. It was great for what it was.

I got a free ticket to this and paid way too much.

The number of WTFs in this film is beyond count. I'm not even talking about things like Starscream being rotting and falling apart and then fine and dandy and then puking constantly or the truly bizarre scene in which Megatron is tending a herd of elephants; This was like watching a snuff film. Characters with no screen time (or even names as far as I can tell) got extended, brutal executions. A good 5 minutes was dedicated to the pointless mass execution of hundreds of people ... for absolutely no reason. Inexplicably, these same bloodthirsty vandals then fall for what is one of the absolute stupidest plot twists to resolve the end.

On a canon note ... WTF is Prime doing begging? Whoever did his character treatment was on crack, he goes from the normal Optimus character to a bloodthirsty Charles Bronson then a crying baby and then immediately back to Charles Bronson in the span of 3 scenes with absolutely no exposition whatsoever.

And then there was a soundtrack so terrible I wished I was deaf. The musical cues made no sense whatsoever and frequently came in with overbearing bass or cheesy "emotional" strings completely out of nowhere.

There was exactly one laugh. Admittedly, it was a good one.
