I am pondering two boxing once i get a real connection, just mostly to pl a few alts up. I am wondering if most people out ther that two box or more typically put their monitors side x side or something different. Also does anyone use one set of input devices (keyboard/mouse) or does everyone one use a set for each box
thanks |

2 of everything, either side by side or at an angle curving around you.

i got a corner desk so one in front and one to the side with both monitors lined up next to each other. Works the best for me since i turn to type but can see the monitor at all times.

I think it's easier to play two on one comp. Generally I try to stick to one computer per group. So for example if I'm playing war, cler, enc in one group, and healing a different group with another cleric i'll use two computers. But if i was playing war, cler, enc, wiz all in one group i'd load them all on the same computer. Unless it was heavy duty healing, then I'd put the cleric on his own box.

I usually have 2 accounts running on my main computer, then a cleric or druid running on my other comp since I set up my + key to cast a heal, 'enter' key to root/snare and - key to do the buff rhetoric.
All in all, I could probably play with that monitor off. Clerics have it so easy. |

dont bother with control+alt+S
download MS Compatibility Administrator or grouped together in the MS Compatibility Toolkit. dissable the key to block alt-tabing in EQ then download MS power toys task switcher, this makes windows xp alt tabing work better with eq and all programs. then just use EQW and you can alt tab between the two windows really easy. i use to do it all the time with just a 1gz amd gf3 and 768 megs of ram. |

I swear, I don't know how you guys do it with one computer. I've tried it a couple of times. I've got pretty good hardware, but it's just so slow. And zoning? Forget it. I'd zone both instances and go out for a movie.
Only thing I could think of that I never tried was putting the 2 instances on difference hard drives. |
